January 4, 2016 Hi {!firstname_fix} We took the reindeer and sleigh and dog down. Wrapped them carefully for next year. Blessed them for their service. Now it is winter in high desert. Cold, and this morning there is frost on all the grasses so everything is sparkling. I love this inner time of year when everything goes deep and rests. I have been doing a lot of work getting US Ranch set. We will be going back to the Holiday Inn Express in Albuquerque, the hotel across from the Indian Cultural Center. I got a reasonable price, they serve breakfast and there is a brand new Starbucks right next door now. We will be meeting in the hotel and can cater our own food. So, we will have delicious, home-cooked program-friendly food for our meals. And they will be significantly less cost for all of you. The seminar will cover introductory training for new people and the latest cutting-edge information for people who are more skilled with the seven steps. We will focus on the foundation of the program and look at step 3 in depth. I also will share insider information on the brain chemistry of sugar sensitivity. Saturday will focus on Healing Insulin Resistance and the Biochemistry of Weight Loss. This will be the first time I have presented this at ranch. If you were in the YLD overview class, you got a sense of the material. And even if weight loss is not part of your story, you will find it fascinating to discover that some slim people can have *fat* bodies — what an intriguing idea, yes? The corollary, of course, is that some fat people can have *slim* chemistry...come learn how this all fits together. We will doing the same information at EuroRanch in March. Here is the link to sign up for either of them. Remember that there is an early bird tuition rate for US Ranch if you sign up before 1/15/16. I have delayed the Obesity Myth Class until this week. It is fine if you don’t have the book on hand yet. If you enjoyed the YLD orientation, this is the first in the series of Weight Loss classes for YLD members that will be continuing throughout the year. You do not have to be on any step to take this class. It is great experience if you have any residual fat terror or fear that being overweight is doing bad things to your body. These classes will begin Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Please Signup and it will take you to the registration page:

**Testimonial of the Week**I am just new on step 7, and still have caffeine in my diet, but the healing that has happened since the beginning of September is nothing short of amazing. I came to the program with depression and insomnia, and I'm very happy to report that I am now sleeping regularly and waking refreshed. I am now calm as opposed to extremely irritable and very cranky. My cravings for sugar vanished long ago. I have the desire and energy to do things - not just the daily stuff, but bigger challenges as well. I am beginning an 'Interior Finishing' course in February and I'm really excited about it! I feel good overall physically and emotionally, but I know it is early days yet and my body has still more healing to do... In the beginning I debated going back on anti-depressants, but I chose not to and I'm so glad I didn't. So all my healing has come from doing the program. Sept, Oct, Nov I still was not sleeping well, then boom, in December the healing just seemed to kick in full force. I have been walking an hour/day 5 days/week for a while now and am slowly incorporating meditation and yoga into my life. And I will give up caffeine at some point as well. I'm so grateful to you and this program. I know you've probably heard it a few thousand times before but this program has been a lifesaver for me. It answered so many questions that I have been longing to know. Thank you Kathleen from the bottom of my heart. Bye for now, Lise **********************************************************************
**Notes from the Forum **In Response To: Weight Loss Hi there, Personally, I didn't have any weight loss for a while. It was only when I was settled with step 7 and had 'rested' there for a bit, that I lost weight. The Good news though, because of what I have learnt, have lived the steps and rebalanced my biochemistry, I have maintained for 2 years now. In the past that wouldn't have worked well for me, have yo yo'd all my life before that. I can recommend YLD as the classes and online chats have helped me so much. I got the membership for a present and it's one of my best ever presents. How are you feeling about breakfast? Are you ok with your 4 parts? What do you like? **Radiant Recovery® Store**David just got back from the printer with a number of boxes of JOURNALS. I LOVE my journal. I have it in a special cover that Selena made. MY journal in on the right, and I have a special calendar on the left where I put life events so I can connect the two. I have been journaling every day for the last 90 + 32 days (smile)...I have never in all these years ever been that diligent. It is unbelievable what I am learning about my program. And it is wonderful how my program is deepening. Honestly, YOUR BODY SPEAKS rocks! Please send questions and suggestions. I love hearing from you and truly want to help you do your program better. **********************************************************************
**Radiant Kitchen**Here is Naomi’s favorite split pea soup recipe. You can make it vegetarian style or you can add meat bones if you like. It is great for a winter meal. SPLIT PEA AND BARLEY SOUP

**Radiant Your Last Diet**I thought you might enjoy hearing some comments from YLD members. A lot is bubbling in YLD. It's funny that something we have been doing for a while can just come alive. Last's week chat was great. We had LOTS of new people and it was rolling. I think the orientation has really provided some great insight for long term members. Listen to what Jim had to say. I love chat. It's one of the things that really hooked me and has helped me to get steady with my program. When I first joined YLD, the Wednesday chats featured some deep topics, such as how the brain works (microtubules), discounting and reframing, and alpha endorphin. The discounting and reframing chat was a big deal for me; my whole body was tingling during that one :) My point is that I love chat, and those deep topics really speak to me. **Radiant Living**We started talking about the *great lunch challenge* that had started the week before. People were posting their lunches online. What started out as a functional planning discussion turned to the emotional content of being cared for, and having someone fix us lunch. It was an unexpected turn and pretty powerful. It is hard to convey the power of the conversations we have, but if you want to share with a group of like-minded people who want something more, this is the place to do it.
