Saute onions and garlic in the oil until soft and translucent.
Add the ground turkey and cook through, breaking it into small pieces as you cook.
When meat is cooked, add beans, diced tomatoes, and chili powder.
Stir to combine and simmer for about 20 minutes.
If you want it more spicy, you can use a combination of plain diced tomatoes and Rotel tomatoes and chili peppers. We also like this with ground bison or beef. If using beef, cook the beef first and then add the onions and you will not need to use any oil.

1 lbground turkey
1 sm-med onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
30 oz.black beans or kidney beans, drained and rinsed (2 15 oz cans)
43 1/2 oz.diced tomatoes with jalapeno peppers (3 14.5 oz cans)
