Put 2 cans of pinto beans in the crock pot. Mix the apple butter and mustard into the beans.
Saute the bacon and onion until not quite crisp in some olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the bacon and onion to the beans, apple butter, and mustard.
Cook it on low for about 4 hours in the crock pot.
29 oz pinto beans, with the juice (2 cans)
3 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
¼ cup apple butter
1 TBS grainy brown mustard (or to taste)
½ cup onion, chopped
