Hi everyone,
I know we all have been kind of quiet in the past few weeks while we have tried to adjust to sheltering and Covid. I have some ideas to share. I found this writing when I was cleaning up my office.
These are not directly "Step One" thoughts, but more about being sugar sensitive and
why this program and this list is NOT about managing cravings. There is way more to the story than that.
Here is what I want you to know:
Knowing that you are not alone.
It is not your fault.
What you think is causing all this pain is really a gift.
You have a unique Body - a body that was designed for compassion, intuition, awareness, and connection to the divine.
You were HARD WIRED for grace to flow through you and guide you in a life of direction and meaning.
But this wiring comes with a price. Feeling deeply means feeling pain as well.
It means knowing things that others do not get.
It means responding to food in a way that is different from others.
You gain weight more easily
You are soothed by sweets
You have a hard time saying no
You cannot sustain your energy or your intuition
How could you ever get from this place to a place of healing?
You. just do the food
Now, whatever does that mean?
The food creates the balance
The process creates the energetic that allows grace to unfold
Now, whatever do I mean by that.
Is this some sort of woo-woo talk?
Nope, this is so simple that it will stretch
your credibility beyond anything you have imagined.
It isn't hard. It is not complex.
But you have to give up some stuff.
You have to give up the idea that you, as your stubborn,
independent, autonymous self knows what to do.
You have to try something different To Trust.
The program is not prescriptive, you have to learn to trust yourself.
Do the homework, do the food, the steps with an open mind, trust that they work,
stay with it, come back to it.
Trust that there is no failure, there is only learning how to do it with more skill.
Whatcha think?
