Hi {!firstname_fix}
And if family is there, it is a time of treasure and celebration. And if family is not there, either by death or dysfunction, it can be a time of profound sadness. We rarely see that side of Thanksgiving written about. It is there, it can be a part of the story. The day can be both. I have come to embrace Thanksgiving as a day of gratitude...a day of focusing on that which there is to be grateful for rather than whatever there might be that might not be. In our holiday class, we have been doing gratitude lists to bring to the table. It is a wonderful exercise. I am going to invite each of you to do that...and to do that if you and the cat are the only ones at the table. And if there is no cat and you are alone, then it can be a list for reflection. Write things down. Bring them over to the forum. I will be starting a thread there tonight. Come and join us. And know that this community is one of my most special treasures.......
