: Hello everyone. I am on step four of
: the program. I have no problems
: taking my vitamins every day, but
: I am still having problems with
: step three. (I was already taking
: the vitamins before reading the
: book, so I'm not skipping steps! I
: know that is not a good way to do
: this). I just wake up some days
: and feel like everything is too
: hard. It's too hard to
: "worry" about
: everything: what I eat, when I
: eat...blah blah. I feel like some
: days are just too hard to stick to
: it. I try to pick myself up the
: next day and carry on. I guess I
: just want to know that I am not
: alone. These steps are deceptively
: simple, and I feel like it should
: be easier. At least when you are
: doing something like quitting
: smoking you know it should be
: really hard. I have been over
: weight and addicted to sugar for
: years. I just feel like I am at
: the point where I need to reach
: out for some encouragement.
: Thank you all for such wonderful
: resources, and such a great
: community!
Hi Rachel
You are right, it doesn't have to be this hard. When I have felt overwhelmed or like I just can't do it anymore, I know it is time for me to back up my program to a spot where I can be successful. Many times I have gone back to step one and focused on making my breakfast be the best it can be or I have gone back to step two and worked on loving my journal (still a work in progress ) I have also gone back to step three many many times as it is just such a huge step and there are many parts that I needed help with.
For me it is best just to focus on a small part of a step - the easiest one! Sounds opposite of what our mothers told us i.e. "do the hard stuff first." But, success breeds success for me anyway.
I am looking forward to hearing what part of step 3 is easiest for you and what you would like to focus on.
You can do this, you really can and you will be successful because there is simply no failure in this program, only learning experiences.
