Thanks for the reply. I feel confident in breakfast. It is the meal that is easy for me. I have been doing breakfast, with protean, for a couple of months now (possibly more, as i realized how much better this made me feel before picking up the book). I think lately my body chemistry is changing (and pain levels are fluctuating wildly). My taste in foods is changing, other cycles are going back to where they were when I was in my twenties.
As I was journaling last night I realized that the days that feel overwhelming are the days when my pain level is 8/10 or above. I am going to work on pre-preparing meals on good days, so I don't even have to worry about food on bad days. I usually eat within the hour, but on bad pain days I have to do stretches and use a heating pad before I can move without severe pain. On those days it is more like 1.5 hours.
My favorite breakfasts are:
2 egg omelet with mushrooms, spinach, and pepper jack cheese, and a slice of toast
Or
Cottage cheese with grapes and almonds
Or
Oatmeal with almond milk and fruit
Do these seem alright?
Thanks!
Rachel
Hi Rachel,
: It's nice to have you stop by!
: When things are overwhelming, it is
: ok to relax a bit. Over the years
: I have observed that instead of
: trying to push through,
: re-visiting is a good idea. What
: if you took a step back and let us
: know how breakfast is going for
: you? Many of us are really excited
: about the program at first, and
: try to tackle it all at once. Take
: a look at breakfast...are you
: getting enough protein, eating a
: complex carb, eating within the
: hour, and eating everyday? Do you
: have some favorites? How long have
: you been eating breakfast? Just a
: few questions to get you started.
