Jo Ellen, sugar butter? gosh I didnt know such a thing was possible! I went to Outback once when I was visiting, had steak salad and potato if I remember rightly ( yes I do have an uncanny ability to remember what I ate on whatever event for some reason even if its years ago )
I never make a big deal of it or put energy into it and I don't get negative reactions either
this is really good advice for me to remember!
Because I am currently negotiating through a situation with someone who thinks I eat in a very weird way. (how?) as if three times a day fresh food was incredibly unusual ... though thinking about it, it might be so!
so when I am kind of forcibly offered biscuits ( ie cookies) and pressed for an explanation of why I am so strange, I just say, 'you know, we've been here before, as you know, sugar just doesnt suit me.'
its very easy for me to get pulled into a drama about it, but I am wise to that one now, and remind myself to just step away from it. On the other hand, over the years I have met some people who are genuinely interested, so I just write the Radiant Recovery website on a piece of paper, and say, this is what I do.
