Re: Journal reviews
In Response To: Journal reviews ()

This is really helpful, Mosaic, thanks a lot!

One thing I do to help myself review my journal is at the end of the day, anything out of the ordinary, I circle with a different color of ink (like many sugar sensitive people, I have a huge inventory of colored pens).

Like, I circle if I was 'sleepy' during the day, or if lunch was late, or if I ate at a restaurant (then I circle the whole meal and write 'Sola' or whateve the name of the restaurant is over it.

These things stick in my mind then and if I am feeling 'off' I can easily check what might be responsible.

Now I will add your idea, Mosaic, and write them in a list at the end and see if patterns pop up! :h23)

: Last night in chat we had a great
: time talking about journalling.

: it made me think about how I review
: my journal. Trying to articulate
: it is a little difficult when I
: just DO it and dont think 'How?'
: :h6)

: but I thought this bit might be
: useful to share.-

: if I look at a day and theres an
: interesting thought occurs to me,
: I write it at the bottom of the
: page, and then write it again on
: the back page. My back page is an
: insights page.

: that way I can get to see a pattern
: forming because its all arranged
: on the back page. Otherwise it
: wanders off and goes and gets
: lost.

: it was kind of handy the other week
: when I had got all attatched to
: Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is a
: magnificent programme food unless
: one is stockpiling it and trying
: to eat it at least three times a
: day :h6) In order to acknowledge
: this to myself and notice it, it
: went on my back page. Then I got
: to see how it was taking over.

: I'll also write a question to myself
: in my journal.. "why am I
: eating so much yogurt?" go
: sleep on it and then see what
: answer appears next time I get a
: pen in my hand "Because dairy
: is a bit addictive for you ,
: remember? " If I think to
: much about it the answer would be
: 'Well. I like it :s10( ' and thats
: that! but disengaging my brain
: from working it out just frees up
: answers sometimes!

: love to hear some personal journal
: review techniques.
