You are slowly getting some good new habits and sounds like you are finding what you enjoy for your breakfasts.
It helps to chew very thoroughly. My Dad used to say we should chew each bite 32 times - he probably said that to keep us from gobbling without tasting because we were always in a hurry.
I try to allow myself 30 minutes for a meal and if I eat it in less than that time it is usually because it is in shake form.
