: Hi all,
: *deep breath again!*
: and *tries not to pull hair out!*
: I can't stress enough, how much your
: comments and input mean to me. I
: have never found a place where
: people really GET it...get how I
: feel, how my body reacts and such
: to sugar, the way everyone here
: does! It's truly amazing...
: Anyway, okay. I'm trying to do a lot
: at once, probaby, so I'm now
: planning to make these things my
: focus: I want to start really
: healing my biochemistry. I want to
: stop the cravings and urges to
: binge and overreat, or eat
: emotionally which is always a
: problem...I'm a very emotional
: eater!
: So first thing to do? Start with
: breakfast...I need to make it
: consistent, every day and within
: an hour of rising.
: This I understand, now the part I
: still need some guidance and
: feedback on, is whether I'm having
: something good for me.
: The things so far that I feel comfort
: with are:
: -yogurts
: - fruit
: - shakes, usually I like to mix
: powder of sorts with bean / soya
: milk
: - some vegetable soups
: I know the fruit and yogurt are still
: with sugar, but they don't trigger
: me to want more. And they are
: definitely better than other
: sources of sugar!
: These are the things that
: realistically i CAN do. breakfast
: is a hard habit to establish but I
: know I can fit in these items at
: least, and it somehow feels a lot
: easier to make it 'go down.'
Hi Sheelia
I am so impressed with your commitment to healing. You have difficulties, but you are sorting them out and having many victories.
Not so long ago you didn't think you could eat anything in the morning and now look at you - you have choices! Give yourself a big pat on the back.
For me it was easier to work on one part of breakfast at a time, when that was accomplished I would move to the next one. So which part are you working on at the moment?
The foods you are eating look healthy to me. The real question is are you eating enough protein for your weight and some brown?
However, you have come so far and I don't want to see you bog yourself down with too many things to concentrate on. I know when I am having trouble I need to simplify and concentrate on one thing at a time or I get overwhelmed.
