You may have read my recent post about trying shake
and wondering about the covert sugars in the PP and almond milk.
Well, last night I prepared the basic parts of this morning's shake (PP, almond milk & oatmeal) and put it in the frig.
This morning I took it out and boy, did it smell sickeningly sweet!!
Again I went to check the labels.
The PP has less than 1 gram sugars.
The almond milk label said 3 grams sugars (from evaporated cane juice)......It's the only kind of almond milk I have seen here in Israel.
I held off with breakfast for a while, and debated what to do.
Then I went back to the almond milk label, and this time, instead of reading just the Hebrew label, I read the English label too.
Ready for this?

Well, there went the shake preparation down the kitchen sink drain.
And now I also understand why I've been feeling gassy since yesterday's first try at this shake.......sugar has always done that to me, and after not having had any for so long, just one time was enough to trigger it.
Back to the drawing board.....
