Aw, thanks Dori! I love your support :h9)
I've always been very short and petite, I'm abt 5 feet lol..although the doctors will usually tell me 4'11. I'm not sure my exact weight, but I recently did get tested for low albumin so I think I definitely need more protein than I've been getting recently.

I've found some 'fake' meat but its not as bad as it sounds...it's soy protein, and I know there's all sorts of things about soy being bad for you. But I figure, if this helps me to eat more variety and less of the sugar I was consuming before, then it can't be that bad!

I'm finding that rice is helping me a lot for now, because although white rice seems to have a bad rep...it is a way for me to get a mix of lentils and vegetables, and tofu / soy proteins that I wouldn't be doing otherwise.

Is white rice okay for now? I know it's a 'white' sugar but I will like to think, it's still better than say...donuts, or a whole bag of candy bars.

I am loving the fruits and yogurt combination, and I'm gluten-intolerant which is another reason why I have to utilize rice a lot.

I hope I'm really on the path to recovery from this sugar dependency...I'm trying to stick with it and trust the program, trust that my body will in time learn to like other things and not crave sugar so much!

: Yeah Sheelia :h2) :h2) :h2)

: Good on you for beginning to have
: breakfast and lunch! I don't know
: if the protein amount is
: appropriate without knowing your
: weight, and the amount of the
: protein in the food you are
: eating. The fact that you are
: eating it is fantastic progress
: though! :h17)

: There is no stipulated amount for the
: complex carb that you eat with
: breakfast, only that you eat some.
: Complex carbs are things like
: oatmeal, 100% whole wheat
: products, brown rice and brown
: rice products, sweet potatoes,
: regular potatoes eaten with skin
: on, lentils and beans i.e. like
: black beans. Hope this gives you
: some ideas. :h5)

: Yes, of course you can eat a fresh
: fruit salad. Fruit is fine. Later
: in the program you may find that
: your body likes less or more of
: certain types of fruits. Dried
: fruit is really dense in sugar,
: but at this stage you may surely
: have it if you want it. :h6)

: I am so excited that you are eating
: breakfast :h4) Yes, cravings for
: sugary drinks goes down as you do
: the program. I have coffee with
: cream, but no sugar and ice tea
: with lemon. :h10) With hot tea, I
: have never put anything in it.

: Keep posting and I am excited to hear
: about your breakfast adventures!
: :h11)
