some clarification

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by the program and all the what-ifs...how will i get to step 7, will I ever? etc etc...so okay, i'm going to just think and worry about step 1.

Now, do all four parts of step 1 have to be done all at once? or do I spend time getting each one of these steps down as well?

I found also I really like oats / porridge, is this a good breakfast? I notice many instant oatmeals are full of sugar, with the 'fruit' flavours. I'm trying to stick to plain oats, is it okay to add natural sweetener like a little jam or agave nectar to it? And how would one add a protein source to a bowl of cereal or oatmeal...would soy milk or almond milk be good?
