Re: Just started!
In Response To: Just started! ()

Hi Charlie

Welcome :h6)

I am glad you found us...I will respond right in your note.

Hi I'm Charlie,

: Like the title says I just started
: this morning so please wish me
: luck!
: I hope this is the beginning of a
: long successful journey following
: years of sugar addiction.

Willingness is ALWAYS the best start. This is the best place in the world to do that healing.
:h2)

I had a
: huge binge last night an felt
: terrible about it when I woke up
: but trying to remain positive and
: see this as a new start.

The bingeing will stop as you go. The best thing to do is simply focus on one step at a time. Start with step one, just that. Learn the four parts of it, Do the four parts and master breakfast.

: Had a small bowl oatbran with milk,
: banana and peanut butter on toast
: for breakie- is this any good?

It's a great start :h11)
Here are a couple of ideas....you will need more protein. Many of us use a shake to have a quick and easy breakfast. If you come over to the store at www.radiantrecoverystore.com, you can see our shake alternatives.
cereal is great as a carb. However oatbran really has no nutrition in it. It is just bran (wood, LOL), so maybe have oatmeal or something else with a little more nutrients. You might want to join the step one list for a lot of specifics.

I
: have 2 young kids so not much time
: to cook eggs or bacon. TBH I dont
: really like that kind of thing in
: the morning. Does greek or natural
: yog count as protien? Does any
: kind of cereal include enough
: protien for it to 'coutn' iykwim?

Greek yogurt is great. Think of the cereal as your brown. Many people get George's® Restore, put it in their milk to make a fortified protein milk and then they put that on their cereal.

: Would lobe some advice/suggestions on
: this?

One more idea. I would join the step one list, and the men's list...a nice kind of support for everything. :h5)

warmly,

Kathleen

: Tnx
