Re: new to the program

: Thanks for your comments Dori. I am
: doing very well with breakfast, I
: make an egg scramble with sauteed
: veggies including spinach,
: peppers, mushrooms, onions and add
: about a 1/4 cup of beans and 2-3
: eggs and cayenne pepper. I don't
: usually eat within an hour of
: rising though. I get up at 4:45
: a.m. to go running at 5:00 a.m.,
: and upon returning home I get
: ready for work and cook my
: breakfast. I don't have time to
: eat it, so I take it with me. By
: the time I eat it I've been up for
: about 4 hours. I know this isn't
: ideal, but if do eat it earlier,
: then I get hungry before lunch
: time. As it is, I don't get home
: till 6pm, eat dinner closer to 7pm
: and try to squeeze in the potato
: shortly after 9 so I can be in bed
: before 10. The potato has
: increased my dreams and if I go to
: bed too soon after eating it, then
: I have heartburn and wake during
: the night.
: I don't know exactly how many grams
: of protein I'm eating, but I feel
: it is adequate. I eat lots of
: veggies and beans. I do not eat
: any grains at all (per the advice
: of my dr.) and have cut out all
: fruit except for 1 apple w/natural
: pnut butter per day. I've been off
: overt sugars for 4 days now. My
: biggest crutch right now is diet
: soda. That will be gone by next
: week (fingers crossed). I'm taking
: vitamins and my thirst has
: increased so I know I'm drinking
: plenty of water(half my body
: weight in oz., if not more). My
: biggest weekness righ now is the
: journaling. Sometimes all that
: gets in there is the date and 'I
: did good today' or 'I did bad'
: which hasn't been entered since
: last Monday :h2)

I am delighted you have found us.

It sounds as if you have designed a program for yourself. :h11)
Are you at all open to learning about why the steps are designed the
way they are and why it makes sense to do them a little differently?
Or would you simply prefer that we support you while you are doing
your own program? :h11)

Warmly,

kathleen
