: no, I had all this over-sweet

: Should I stop having other forms of

: As for breakfast, it's still hard to

Hi Sheelia:
Are you able to make your own coffee or tea so that you have control over the amount of sugar that is in your drinks? I am just wondering if they sell coffee beans or tea leaves etc.
I have read that the typical pattern for most Americans who are overweight is that they skip breakfast and lunch and then arrived home famished and then eat eat eat whatever they can grab first and then they continue to eat all evening long.
This was happening to me when I would come home from my 2nd shift job (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM or sometimes even later) after having had supper at 5:00 PM. I was just so frantically hungry that I would devour whatever was in sight especially sweet stuff and salty stuff and bread stuff until I was satisfied and yes, usually nauseated.
What made the biggest difference in my life was having a planned protein and complex carb snack at work about 4 hours after I had supper. This was a miracle! Suddenly I was no longer frantic when I came home. I didn't binge or eat fast or grab the first thing out of the fridge - wow!
I think your body is afraid you will never feed her again and so when food is presented she wants to get it in there as fast as possible.
You may need to focus on breakfast - getting that food into you even if you aren't hungry so that your body will begin to trust you again and not worry about being fed.
I would not focus on giving up sugar at this point. In fact you never need to give up fruit or yogurt. Now, regular yogurt only has about 8 gms protein per cup so to get your protein requirements would take a lot of yogurt! However, Greek yogurt (Fage brand) has about 18-20 gms protein per cup - big difference!
I know it is hard to trust the process. I am the poster child for lack of trust But, when you turn that corner - you will see miracles and your problems will disappear.
