Sheelia,
Now is the time to just focus on breakfast. It's something I really appreciate about the program...the focus is to add things in first, and work on stabilizing our blood sugar. After we have *added in*, then we can think about *taking out*. I know for me, trying to stop eating sugar was just hard...impossible. I could do it for a little bit, but then I would break, and have to have my fix. As I went through the steps, and ate enough protein and complex carb for me, it was much easier to give up the sugar, and I have never gone back. And doing it slowly also gives you time to find nice alternatives.
What are you having for breakfast these days? Today I had buckwheat cereal with chicken and ginger and beets...yum!

: Thanks for this encouragement...I
: guess the problem is, I'm in
: Vietnam right now, as an English
: teacher...and their coffee and tea
: is always so sweet! They love
: their drinks with sugar /
: condensed milk....
: But I know that I can make the
: necessary changes...they eat rice
: noodles with vegetables for nearly
: every meal and there are many
: non-sweet items to have. I find
: that bread and wheat are very
: problematic for me...any kind of
: flour / cake is triggering to me.
: Do you think I should cut out coffee
: and tea right now, since it's
: always so sweetened here?
