Thank you so much Dori. I will definitely plan to save these emails and not leave this time - even though I want to give up already, because I'm so afraid I won't make it...but I'll at least keep posting and see if I can make progress...I NEED this program, I need to be accountable to someone...
I am in Vietnam right now as a foreign teacher and a problem is, their coffee/tea drinks are always pre-made with lots of sugar and sweetened condensed milk. I'm wondering if I should quit these completely even though, it would be hard for me...but I want a life free of sugar addiction.
I also have this issue where I feel I eat too fast...i feel like it's not just with sugar though. It's not over-eating persay...but I don't know why it's hard for me to slow down. I wonder if its because I'm not eating enough during my other meals, so usually at night I tend to 'crash.' Do you have any tips on how to establish a more regular meal schedule? If I don't feel comfortable with 3 meals, can I opt for about 5 smaller meals throughout the day?
Right now I like salads, beans, yogurt and fruit a lot. These are usually the safest foods for me...flour, bread is quite triggering. Rice is not a problem for me, I have gluten issues so I try to have rice noodle soup a lot of times (it's always what the locals have here!)
Hi Sheelia:
: I'm sorry you are having such a hard
: time. I do recommend that you save
: your emails because you will be
: amazed at how much better your
: life is and how sugar plays a very
: small part in your day.
: I think you are scaring the bejeebers
: out of yourself If I am
: scared what helps me is to back up
: a little on my program. I would
: look at the four parts of
: breakfast and work on the easiest,
: funnest part. Maybe eating
: breakfast everyday is the place to
: start. Could be anything you want
: - just eat it every day. When that
: is natural and you want to have
: breakfast then go on to other
: parts of breakfast.
: As you do the steps your cravings for
: and need for sugar will disappear
: naturally without any feelings of
: deprivation on your part. It will
: happen for you too. I promise
: Keep connecting here and we will help
: you along the way as best we can.
: Someone told me once to remember
: "Faith is not a leap from A
: to B, it is a leap from A."
: Here is to you and all the ss folks:
: May you leap with joy.
