Re: Feel like this is impossible

Thanks for this encouragement...I guess the problem is, I'm in Vietnam right now, as an English teacher...and their coffee and tea is always so sweet! They love their drinks with sugar / condensed milk....

But I know that I can make the necessary changes...they eat rice noodles with vegetables for nearly every meal and there are many non-sweet items to have. I find that bread and wheat are very problematic for me...any kind of flour / cake is triggering to me.

Do you think I should cut out coffee and tea right now, since it's always so sweetened here?

: Sheelia,

: Right now you get to focus just on
: breakfast. Don't put a lot of

: program, I ate a lot of sugar with
: meals and in between too! It is
: just part of our addiction...but
: this can change!

: Breakfast was the hardest meal for
: me. I had a lot of nausea when I
: first started, and the thought of
: eating something for breakfast was
: rough. I'm not sure what is
: happening with you, but for me, I
: know that if my blood sugar is
: wonky, one symptom can be no
: appetite. By choosing to eat
: breakfast, I began to stabilize my
: blood sugar. Now I can eat
: breakfast, no problem, and feel
: sooo much better. I joke about it
: being my morning coffee. I feel
: ready to face the day after my
: breakfast.
