I haven't experienced that, but it could be a beta endorphin effect. Illness, pain etc can cause a beta endorphin spike, and then as you withdraw you feel hungrier (there are receptors in your digestive system). I used to get ravenous the day after drinking alcohol because of the beta endorphin spike and withdrawal.
I wouldn't worry about it. You could try eating a little extra fat and see if that helps. Once I understood what caused my bottomless pit hunger (which I still get to a lesser degree once in a while, although I don't drink alcohol any more) I would eat a little more fat and go for a walk and that helped.

: Hi everyone,
: Every since I was a teenager I have
: noticed that when I am getting
: better from a headcold I am a lot
: hungrier. I seem to eat normally
: (maybe a little less depending on
: the severity of it) for the first
: 4 or 5 days and then become really
: ravenous for about 2 or 3 days.
: Does this happen for anyone else? Do
: you just go with it and eat more?
: I hadn't had a garden variety
: headcold for ages but am at day 7
: of one now. It is almost gone now
: but I have been definitely
: hungrier yesterday and today.
: Happy day,
