Hi Marcy:
For me, steady on step 2 means I journal consistently every day - my food, amounts, timings, and also post physical and emotional feelings. For me that took a while.
At the early stage of my program I don't think I stayed on step two until I loved my journal. It just wasn't in me at the time. But now I can say that I really like my journal because it tells me so much about how I react to certain conditions i.e. timings and amounts of foods and also types of foods. But, that is an advanced skill.
You don't need to figure out the step before you get there because truthfully it just causes unneeded anxiety There are many helpful people on the step three list, they also have many informational sheets that can be accessed. Most people spend a long time on step three because it is a step that involves a lot of change. I sure stayed on the step a long time and truthfully go back to it a lot.
