Hi
It is DEFINITELY okay to take time with breakfast, and advisable, it can be the hardest step if you are not used to breakfast, I wasn't either, unless it was at least a couple of hours after waking and then it had to be sugary cereals.
It took me 6 months to be able to eat breakfast and actually enjoy it. Most people when they first get here would be like "6 months! I can't wait that long to get off sugar, I need to feel better now!" but even if it takes 6 months, you will feel better doing this for those 6 months than doing what you would normally do.
Hope that helps
Love
Jane

: Thank goodness I am here again and
: this time, I hope to really stick
: to it...I got so discouraged last
: time because, well, the steps seem
: so deceptively simple! so I
: thought I could do it all so
: quickly but it seems like it will
: definitely take me an entire month
: to master step 1 ( I'm not a
: breakfast fan! ) is that okay, to
: take some time with step 1??
: Thanks again, this is definitely the
: only place I can come to. There
: are soo many 'recovery' meal plans
: and diets and it gets so
: overwhelming. But this is the only
: book I've read, and site I've
