My tooth is much better, and I didn't have to take hardly any painkillers, which I was greatly relieved about. I still need to get the crown adjusted, but other than that all is well.
I thought you guys might get a kick out of this. I got an email this morning from an online store I occasionally buy things from, and they were advertising a product that is "guaranteed to reduce cravings" - in "chewable bite" form. Interestingly, they don't describe what type of cravings, though I guess people generally pair "cravings" with sugar.
It says the chewables are sugar-free. And that you're supposed to chew the supplement (it's in bite-size food form) before you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then I look at the list of ingredients and it's got 3 separate sweeteners in it, including chocolate liquor, and a lot of fatty cream stuff along with several other ingredients.
It's funny we come up with stuff like this (or SlimFast or a hundred other products on the shelves) and go to great lengths to market them as healthy, and in reality they're really not different in actual substance to a lot of the snack food industry's products. And meanwhile the real solution, the real magic "chewable" is the food itself, if you know how to do it.
Anyway, I thought it was funny. I've had a rough couple of weeks with my food, not being able to finish meals, eating more-but-much-smaller meals because of it, my exercise has been off. I don't feel bad, but I don't feel well either. Such it is with life. Onward to getting stuff put back on shelves.
Cheers,
Sky
