There's a lot to step 3 - remember, you can break it down into little pieces. In the files on step 3, there's a list of all the little steps of step 3, and you can tackle them in any order you want, easiest first works well for me when I'm working on changes.
I worked on the content of my meals first, and then worked in eliminating my planned snacks once I was feeling stable and my very volatile blood sugar had calmed down.
Step 3 stabilizes blood sugar, so many people notice big improvements in this step.
