Re: Breakfast 17 and future plans

Hi Char

I have never really been into anything sporty....never had the confidence when I was younger, and don't have the "body smarts" now but I love to walk, and can do that for hours.

Derby is 18 miles from Nottingham (Robin Hood Country) and is in Derbyshire (the Peak District is here, where we have mountains etc., but that is quite a way off for me,though I can get there fairly inexpensively on two buses.) You might want to look up Matlock, too, which is in the Peak District, they have illuminations there from the end of August to the end of October, on the river, boats completely covered in different coloured light bulbs with different themes, similar to the "light parades" you have in Disneyland in the States, but on a tiny scale compared to that. It's very pretty and they have fairground rides, fireworks and candy floss stalls, etc., they might have some photographs of past illuminations there about this time, to advertise for people to go to this years. Lots of little gift shops and things there too, and of course, the good old Fish & Chip shops!

It's amazing to think we can "talk" to people from different countries so easily. The internet is an amazing thing in so many ways.

Love you

Jane
