You are so right. Cancer is a journey, and I know I'm meant to learn and grow from it.

And learning to take care of myself--very, very difficult for me--is the first part of it. And THE FOOD is the #1 part of that.

I'm so glad your sleep schedule is improving! Hooray for sleep!

I didn't mention: I am finally living my dream of teaching art history. I taught last semester, but I was so sick for so much of it I couldn't enjoy it. School starts Monday, and I AM feeling joy and energy. Nothing in the world has ever made me as happy as teaching, so, cancer or not, I've got a lot of joy in my life.

The challenge is to know that healing is my first priority, and my students have to be my second.
