I have found over the years that a change in my routine is pretty discombobulating
what helps me, is reviewing all my steps and then acknowledging the changes, and adapting to fit my new needs.
even travelling is a bit of an upheaval.. so I eat very regularly and add snacks. I have to be careful with protein ( sometimes its not enough when eating out) and I have a suitcase of yam cakes lol . Then I am extra attentive when back in my real life, just to settle a bit. Sometimes its good for me to think, yes, that all got a bit busy, now what about Breakfast.
: We planned a 4 night camping trip in
: a beautiful spot
when I read that I thought, oh how peaceful!
with all of our
: young adult children and
: grandchild.
and then I thought, oh not that peaceful and a bit like hard work!
I think you did well, back to your routine and breakfast
I might add that my first holidays ( vacation) after RR was a disaster, second one a bit better ( journaling the eeek! things helped ) third one I had learnt a thing or two - and so on - and by now I just about have the hang of it This year I coped well with a 2 hour time change and unreliable food sources that a few years ago would have had me worrying my head off. It does get better.
did you feel you gleaned anything from this vacation that would be useful for next ? like in relation to your own relaxation time, continuation of your yoga, if extra food helps, that sort of thing?
