Hi Sandra,
It's using an electric hand mixer with only one beater attached instead of 2, put it in the jar and mix on low speed. I generally turn the new jar upside down for a few days before mixing so the oil mixes a bit and the peanut butter in the bottom is not rock hard. It's sooo much easier and less messy than stirring with a knife. And I get to lick the beater when I'm done
