I binged for the first 6 or 7 months on this program. After some months on Step 3, it became less frequent and now has stopped completely. I think there has been a radical shift in my biochemistry. Before RR, I could only white knuckle a week without binging. Now I don't even think about it.
A lot of people told me to not focus of the binge. In other words, stop spending all that energy on beating myself up. I took their advice and use that energy to devote to Step 1. That was a good start.
