Jenna - for what it's worth, you can already start experiencing the individuality of this program. For while there are hard-and-fasts (breakfast within the hours, for example) you can also move through the steps in a way that is right for you. I say this because the carbs I was having started off pretty white for breakfast (my regular store-bought, sugar-y cereal, white-flour bagels, toast of whatever bread I was buying then - probably a flour mix with some kind of sweetener.)
Then as I got further into the steps I just naturally start to shift more towards the "browner" and then the "fully brown" part of the carb spectrum for part of my breakfast.
