Re: Is the protein in the breakfast carb additional?

Kate,

I've been doing the program since 2001! I am still amazed at how long I have been able to do this. Most other ways of eating only lasted about a year at most, and I know the cravings got me every time!

When I first started the program, I also made a shake. It is very convenient, and can be made *to taste* and changed over time. If you enjoy the shake, it is a great option! And yes, it does take time to get used to, especially if you are not used to eating as much. Take you time and enjoy. Have you seen the RR shake page?

Lots of fun ideas on what to incorporate with shake.

: Hi Colette,

: Thanks for replying!
: This really helps me. I need to
: remember about dense protein
: because I'm topping up my proten
: with milk which isn't dense.

: I've tried a few different breakfast
: ideas....I started off with a
: wholewheat tortilla, sausages, and
: scrambled egg but I found it
: really difficult to eat this
: within an hour of getting up. I'm
: not used to eating much that
: early! At the moment, I am having
: a protein shake and half a
: wholemeal bagel. Still not getting
: enough of the 'dense' stuff
: though. I think it will take me a
: while to get the hang of this....

: How long have you been doing the
: program?
