Hi Lee,

If you've cut out sugar before it's time, then every 6 days or so the cravings will come. Can you find a way to have a steady amount of sugar each day?

warmly,
Lucy

I have been on Step 3 now for a few
: weeks and have noticed a pattern
: taking place while reviewing my
: journal.

: It seems that when I get to day #6 of
: the week I binge on sugar at night
: a few hours after I've eaten
: dinner. It's strange really, it's
: become a cycle with me and I don't
: understand why. I get right back
: on track the following morning
: with my breakfast, am steady with
: my food for the next 5 days
: (following Step 3 and all it's
: components), and then day 6 rolls
: around and my hand is back in the
: "sugar jar" at night.

: Just a side note, although my food is
: "steady" for those days
: my physical and emotional states
: are not, (most likely the result
: of the high levels of sugar
: consumed 6 days prior). I finally
: get back into "balance"
: around day 5 & 6 after binge,
: and when I start to feel better
: all around I'm back at it again
: eating ice-cream & cookies
: that night!

: I'm totally confused, since I see
: that this is a pattern through my
: journaling, I'm wondering if there
: is an actual bio chemical reason
: to it, an explanation as to why
: I'm seeking I guess this
: "beta endorphin" at this
: specific time? Is it even
: beta-endorphin or something else?
: Would going on to step 4 help
: (having a potato at night) or
: should I stay where I am? I'm
: feeling frustrated because I'm
: tired of being on this physical
: and emotional roller coaster and
: would like to get off, I'd
: appreciate any ideas or
: suggestions. Thanks!!
