Hi Colette,
Thank you!
Thanks for your advice and it's good to know that as I get more stable through learning the RR skills my body should settle down.
I've found sprouted grain bread I can buy which helps. Apparently when soaking grains you need something slightly acidic and nuts need slightly salty water. I've been soaking my quinoa overnight with a bit of lemon juice in the water and have found a sugar-free muffin recipe that uses buttermilk and has you soak the mixture overnight. I've discovered it doesn't take a lot more time, you just have to plan ahead a bit more - which can be overwhelming sometimes when it's new and I'm feeling scattered but I'm getting better at it.
I've got a dehydrator which we use to dehydrate food for our hiking and I've had a couple of goes at soaking nuts and then slowly drying them in the dehydrator and they worked well.
I definitely seem to have less digestive problems with the soaked and sprouted grains and nuts.
I love sweet potatoes and potatoes so I'm happy to eat more of them!

: Hi Donna,
: It's nice to have you here!
: When I can, I like to soak my grains
: and my nuts. If I were new, and
: learning the new skills of Radiant
: Recovery, I would just focus on
: RR. If soaking doesn't distract
: you, and if you do notice a
: difference, then enjoy! I've
: already found sprouted quinoa in
: the store, and that's convenient
: to have, and I don't have to do
: the work.
: When I first started the program, I
: had a hard time with many foods,
: not just grains. Over the years
: this has settled a lot for me.
: Again, if you feel distracted by
: the soaking, just doing the
: program might help settle things
: for you.
: Sweet potatoes are a fun option too.
: Sweet potatoes are a *comfort*
: food for me, and I love them when
: I am not feeling my best, or
: feeling very stressed. Potatoes
: would be another option too.
