Hi Donna,
It's nice to have you here!
When I can, I like to soak my grains and my nuts. If I were new, and learning the new skills of Radiant Recovery, I would just focus on RR. If soaking doesn't distract you, and if you do notice a difference, then enjoy! I've already found sprouted quinoa in the store, and that's convenient to have, and I don't have to do the work.
When I first started the program, I had a hard time with many foods, not just grains. Over the years this has settled a lot for me. Again, if you feel distracted by the soaking, just doing the program might help settle things for you.
Sweet potatoes are a fun option too. Sweet potatoes are a *comfort* food for me, and I love them when I am not feeling my best, or feeling very stressed. Potatoes would be another option too.

: Hi, I'm a newbie and just starting
: the program. I have a question
: about grains and nuts.
: In the last few years I've made a lot
: of changes to try to improve my
: health including eating more
: 'browns' but I've always had
: trouble digesting whole grains,
: especially wheat, and some nuts
: like almonds. I recently found
: some information that recommended
: soaking grains and nuts before
: eating them to make them easier to
: digest. I knew about soaking
: legumes, but had not previously
: heard about soaking grains or
: nuts. Apparently sprouted or
: fermented grains are also much
: easier to digest.
: I've been trying it and it seems to
: help. Looking in to it further I
: can see there's lots of info on
: the web, but I'm interested to
: know if anyone else here has had
: trouble digesting whole grains and
: nuts or if anyone else soaks them?
: Donna.
