Hello, Jo!
Fortunately my daughter is very smart and gifted and does appreciate the effects of our diet. As she gets older and older I do think she will embrace the difference more than she does now, but she usually handles it beautifully.
I look forward to the day where she has friends that are at least health-conscious. I have surrounded myself with them, but in elementary school it's not so easy!
It's fun to find out what other people think of us sometimes, especially when it's positive! And it's also often a look into who *they* are as well. (wink)
Peace and Joy,

: ...I hope your daughter comes to rejoice
: in her difference as a strength. I
: wasn't so lucky to be doing the
: food at that age, but I was
: definitely not like the other kids
: . I had thoughts like your
: daughter does -- why can't I be
: like everybody else? Years later,
: I was starting a new job and
: meeting my co-workers. One of them
: later came up to me and told me
: her sister had been one of my
: classmates in middle school, and
: the sister had said she really
: liked me because I never was
: afraid to be myself! I had no
: idea!
: Being sugar sensitive has its
: blessing side, and after years of
: doing the food, I know it. Thanks
: for sharing your story.
