Re: food allergies

Mosaic, thank you for the reply.

In regards to the steps I would be at 7. I have not been able to tolerate grains at all nor potatoes of any sort including yams, etc. they have been out of my life for a couple years now.

There is also no dairy. In regards to the food allergies they were causing such issues that they had to be eliminated entirely.

I find myself feeling great without grains (this includes amaranth, quinoa, corn, millet even though some are not literal grains) nut free, dairy free and having eliminated other foods.

Breakfast for me consists of spring greens with tuna/olive oil, onions or sunny side up eggs with saurkraut (or other ferments.) I am finding due to the heat in summer that celery/apple juice is sometimes breakfast.

I have no sugar except for fruit sugar in minimal amounts. I have very dark chocolate which is my main craving. I start feeling like a need for a 'lift' in my day especially since there are no grains and the dark chocolate does that however I have to be certain of what type it is due to not being able to have any dairy at all.

Dark chocolate is really the thing I crave the most. I can and do live without it some days and have even went off of it for months at a time. I do not know that there was that big of a difference in the way that I was feeling without it. I do however notice a HUGE difference without starches.

I had been on a whole food (eating brown foods) vegetarian diet for many years before having issues and adding back some meats due to eliminating so many foods.

I do feel better in sunny, warm weather and have felt low serotonin to be an issue. However, much of the serotonin type foods have been eliminated out of necessity.

I started out with feelings of
: sensitivity to a lot of things.

: my experience was that a lot settled
: as I did.

: I had so much going on it had been
: hard to see the wood for the trees
: :s2(

: Step 7 now some years and my food is
: really varied ( its as though I
: got to discover a bunch of other
: things!) I do not choose wheat or
: gluten and its really easy without
: those.

: there is a lot of support on the
: lists in that respect.

: I'm fine with potato, and choose it
: in many different forms at
: mealtimes, but I am very fond of
: sweet potato and thats my choice
: for step 4 personally

: Heres what I found: not overnight I
: might add :h6) it did take me some
: time, but just learning one step
: at a time, one small bit at a time
: really works for me, instead of my
: old way of looking at a whole
: picture at once. Journal is a
: godsend. So just focusing on my
: breakfast foods is so helpful..

: what step are you doing Lisa ? have
: you some favourite foods for
: breakfast time?
