When I started the program over three years ago. I read the book in a few days and started breakfast the following day. I said 'oh sugar and whites are the issue? Okay good bye sugar and good bye whites. Hello radiance!" Well I did really well with the no sugar or whites for a whole year. Yes I felt better but far from radiant. Than the anxiety started creeping back in to my life. The anxiety that I kept at bay by eating tons of sugar. Well I had cut out alcohol, sugar and whites and ate breakfast but that was it I did not do any other part of the program. I heard Kathleen tell people 'start with beginners mind'. But of course she could not be talking about me because I am unlike all the others on the program and I don't need to do it that way. Well I was wrong and she was right (imagine that). I started back at square one. I am now working on getting my step three solid. My timings are going well. Although sugar has made its way back into my life I am doing well. And I am working the steps. It has made a huge difference. I hated started over with beginners mind. I felt ashamed about it. But I am very glad I did it.
