Welcome! The protein in your brown can not count toward your protein count. Sometimes I have beans with breakfast and I can count those as protein if and only if I have another brown to go along with it.

Also the protein in milk does not count toward the amount. Neither does regular yogurt. It is not dense enough. However, you can use Greek yogurt because it is much thicker. Think of it this way - if you can hold it in your hands without it slipping through your fingers you can count it (except regular yogurt some of it might be thicker but it has to be Greek yogurt in order for it to count toward your protein amount). Lots of people also do cottage cheese.
