Congratulations to you, SB, on your 10th RR anniversary!!!
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I loved reading about it!
Wishing you continued radiance,
Grace
: Earlier this spring, I celebrated my
: 10-year anniversary of radiant
: recovery. I have not been to the
: forum for quite a while, but I
: have much love for everyone here.
: I used to binge on candy until I fell
: asleep every night. Once I got
: married, I would sneak around and
: hide wrappers under the trash and
: eat in secret whenever I could. My
: dear spouse did not exactly know
: the extent of my addiction, but he
: did notice when I started doing
: RR:
: "You've gotten so calm," he
: told me a few months into the
: program. "Your moods are all
: smoothed out."
: That started in the spring of 2002.
: In the fall, I no longer craved
: sugar, but losing my taste for
: white carbs took a bit longer. It
: has all been quite a journey and
: Allison, Patti, Kathleen and
: everyone on this forum answered my
: questions every step of the way.
: Fast forward 10 years: I never woulda
: believed it, but I *do* feel
: radiant! Life is deeply enjoyable
: without high drama. I have more
: energy, enthusiasm, passion and
: peace than I could have imagined
: when I was 10 years younger. All
: it is taking is one day at a time,
: one breakfast at a time, one
: "oops, I guess that didn't
: work - I'll try it differently
: tomorrow" at a time - for
: 3650 times in a row.
: I'm still evolving and learning to
: work out bumpy, dysfunctional
: spots in myself, and sometimes I
: forget how far I've come. I wanted
: to share my story in part to keep
: reminding myself: I. am. so.
: grateful.
: With love,
: SB
