A few years ago I bought some Blue Diamond almond butter, and like you, I didn't check the ingredients. It just didn't dawn on me that it would have sugar. I had the same reaction, I really didn't enjoy it at all, eventually threw it out (didn't have anyone who wanted it), and didn't buy any almond butter again for several years. Recently, I found some sugar-free almond butter and am now enjoying it from time to time.
