Welcome Emily! Congratulations on your first day, and also on your new little one!
Breakfast will certainly begin to help you feel better, but my BS issues didn't really even out until my Step 3. But I encourage you to take it slow; the steps work best that way.
You didn't say what time breakfast was, so maybe you did need more food by 11 (or even before, since you were already feeling bad by then). If you are breastfeeding, you'll definitely need to take in more food than the rest of us. I'm not sure what those guidelines are, but someone else here can probably help you out with that. Even if you are sleep-deprived (which is quite probable with a 4-week-old!) I think extra nutrition is always called for.
What else do you think you might have for your protein source? Do you know how much you need for your body?
