A lot of people go through what you are currently experiencing when they first start the program. The reason being that we get scared that we are going to have to give up our sugar, which has sometimes been our best friend for years, and with just starting the steps, our brain chemistry hasn't had the chance to become balanced enough to understand that by the time we actually get to taking out sugars, we are no longer scared of doing so, because we have all the other stuff balanced that gets rid of the need for sugars.
So right now, just go with the flow, try not to get too stressed about it, give yourself some time on step one and then move on. The further along the steps you go, the more this problem dissolves over time.
