Hi Meghan,
When I add in things, like more protein or more brown, it takes my body some time to adjust. I know it seems huge in the beginning. I kept in my fruit and veggies as I went along...just increased my protein, and exchanged white things for brown. If you are feeling way to full, it might help to slowly increase to the amount you need, and not do it all at once.
And here's something I just remembered. No matter how full I was, I would always have room for my sugar.
