Hello all,
I thought I'd say hello since I've been lurking here for a couple of days. I've been reading the Sugar Addict's Total Recovery Program and taking lots of notes (since I borrowed this copy from the library).
I love how just when I think of a "short-cut", Dr. DesMaisons catches me in the next paragraph. You'd think she's done this a time or two, eh? Actually, it makes me feel very good to know that my actions/feelings are classic and there is a roadmap I can follow to learn how to manage them. I'm reminding myself to take it slow and enjoy the gradual changes.
While I tend to enjoy breakfast, it's usually a sugary cereal with zero protein.
Yesterday I had a creation I call "egg basket" that I got off Pinterest http://www.marthastewart.com/330179/bacon-egg-and-toast-cups?czone=holiday/spring-celebrations-cnt/celebration-mother-day except I made mine with half a corn tortilla to make them gluten free in case my daughter wanted one.
Today, I just had two slices of toast with peanut butter. I haven't had peanut butter in a long time!
Looking forward to learning more about my sugar-sensitivity and how to make some positive changes,
Shelly
