Hi Kari

It sounds like you are doing really well, making sure you get the right foods to eat at the right time, no matter what it takes! :)

As for the journal, I guess it's like so many other things in life, some things we can do straight away, no problem, and other things take something to happen to make it click how important it really is. We are all different with these things and take different things to make us click, sounds like you could just be getting there with that too!

: Felt much better after lunch today.
: This morning I still felt really

: Had an afternoon snack at 10:00 of

: desk. Still tasted good.

: Lunch went well. Came home for a
: whole hour. I even weighed my
: chicken. I had a whole glass of
: water, 3 ounces chicken breast
: (3.1 to be exact), 8 large slices
: of cucumber and 1.5 cups of split
: pea soup. I felt soooooooo much
: better after lunch. AND Drum roll
: please. I ate every single bit of
: the chicken. It was tough but I
: did it.

: After work I had to go pick up some
: paperwork from the vet. On the way
: home I thought I am not going to
: make my 5:30 timing. So I decided
: to stop by whole foods and grab
: something and eat it in my car. I
: had a serving of Greek yogurt
: (vanilla) normally I get plain. I
: got these things called parmesan
: crisps. All they are are parmesan
: cheese that had been baked to make
: crisps. There were pretty good. I
: also got potato salad that had red
: potatoes with skin. And my sweet.
: I sat out in the car (hot) and
: ate. Making sure to start with the
: protein first. The only thing I
: was missing was a tall glass of
: cold water. Had I thought about it
: in the store I would have bought a
: water. Grabbed one as soon as I
: got home. I really wanted to shop
: around at Whole Foods to see what
: things I might want to by for food
: next week. But had to tell myself
: – ‘No you do not have time, you
: need to eat by 5:30. You can
: always go back another time” I
: ended up eating closer to 5:45. I
: guess I could have gone back in
: after I ate but oh well by that
: time I just wanted to get home to
: my dogs.
