Hi JoEllen,
Thanks a lot for your tips.
Some stupid questions:
What is a scoop? My rice protein powder has about 10 grams of protein in 2 Tbsp (about 15 grams) I need 35 grams of protein. 6 Tbspoons sound TOO MUCH for me to drink like that....
The cooked oats: how do you cook them? in water? almond milk? I use organic whole oats. I figure I can put them in the grinding machine before I cook them. I had some raw in my shake today. Not yummy yet... didn't have a problem digesting them, it was just not a great texture and flavour. Felt the powder in the fluid. Used plenty of fluid.
Thanks
Nina
: Hi Nina,
: I use lots of rice protein powder in
: my shakes and not only are they
: edible, they're yummy.
: But make sure to use enough liquid.
: Cooked oats refrigerated overnight
: are great in shakes.
: Some people find raw oats difficult
: to digest.
: One other thing about the rice
: protein powder-my body says that a
: scoop is about 15
: grams, just like Restore. I think
: they may overestimate how much
: protein is in a tablespoon.
: Here's my favorite shake-I never get
: tired of it.
: Banana
: 1.5 scoops vanilla rice protein
: powder (unsweetened)
: crushed ice
: a cup of cooked chilled steel cut
: oats, maybe a little more
: small handful walnuts
: crushed ice
: maple flavoring from RR store or
: grocery store
: Unsweetened almond milk
: Enjoy your shake experiments-I think
: we all have our favorite
: custom-made shake.
