So sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. My heart hurts for you. And I'm so proud of you for continuing to try to eat during this tough time. I know how hard that can be.

: My sister died. Various other
: complicated situations arose. I

: sense that many of you out there
: have incredible challenges too.
: Old me would have shopped for the
: pacifiers in the frozen sugary
: aisle or stopped at the golden
: arches. New me , although not
: really hungry, bought containers
: of food from the salad bar, slowly
: ate the peppers, cucumber,
: spinach, tomatoes and chicken in a
: quiet spot on my back porch.
: I have a special appreciation for the
: choices available to me when I
: shop.It makes it easier to cope. I
: know that salad bar foods are not
: an option if you have a big family
: to feed but hope all of you have
: some "fall back"
: options.
: I will be back cooking stuff for the
: freezer later on or ripping open
: my cans of albacore tuna or
: salmon.
