Re: starting out

Hi, Welcome!

I am a newbie as well - been doing this since 4/26/12.

I first read "Sugar Addicts" book 2x, then the "Potatoes n p" book.
I found it very helpful to take the Step One Class with Kathleen for $10.99 - very informative about the 4 "layers" to eating breakfast

1. everyday
2. within an hour of waking up
3. w/ complex carb
4. w/ enough protein for your weight

I keep lots of easy basic breakfast foods around so my brain does not have to think too much! :h4)

I like having 2 eggs, 2 toast, 3 bacon, and cup of skim milk.
Salsa is a nice replacement for Ketchup.

I also like to use a Whole Wheat Tortilla with some veggies added for a "breakfast burrito". I also like a few triscuits with cheese if I am still hungry.

I also have coffee with creamer 2x a week.

Been feeling very good and lasting 5 hours without snacks, which is amazing.

: Welcome - I am so glad you are here
: with us. I have been doing this
: program for a little over 3 years
: now. And can not tell you the
: difference I felt with in 1 week
: of breakfast. I never ate
: breakfast before so it was sort of
: a scary thought. I started out
: with having 2 scrambled eggs with
: cheese wrapped in a whole wheat
: tortilla. Now for my protein I
: have a shake. My brown changes all
: the time.

: Again Welcome.
