That was very beautiful Kari, thanks for sharing!

: Tonight I was feeling not centered.
: Just felt not right. So I thought
: I needed to meditate. Well I found
: I like to meditate in the dark
: watching the flame of a candle.
: Normally I meditate in the
: bathroom just because it is a very
: dark room and cozy. Today I
: deicide to do it in my bedroom in
: the dark, with ear plugs in as my
: BF was downstairs watching TV. I
: like it very quiet because I get
: distracted very easy. I was
: planning on only doing 10 minutes.
: But ended up doing 30. And could
: have kept going. It was AMAZING!

: As I was watching the flame I decided
: to grab the notebook and pen I
: keep in the night stand and start
: writing (a little hard to do by
: candlelight lol). I love writing
: it is a very calming thing for me.
: Lots of times when I write I
: reread it, rewrite and rework
: things. I did not want to do that
: with this. I wanted to capture
: exactly what was going through my
: mind as I sat there watching this
: candle. This is what I ended up
: writing.

: The Dance of the Flame

: When I breathe you dance.
: When I hold my breath you stand
: still.
: From the hottest shades of blue you
: stretch upwards into a warm
: buttery yellow.
: Your beauty lights the way and it
: also casts the most beautiful
: shadows.
: I love the way you dance and the
: warmth that you bring.
: Watching you dance warms my insides
: while being close to you warms my
: face.
: You twist, you turn, you stretch, you
: bow; you dance to the rhythm of my
: breath.
: You inners glow red like the coals of
: a fire.
: I can see its reflection in the
: watery wax below.
: Your dancing is reflected there to.
: It reminds me of the moon dancing on
: the ripples of a lake.
: You burn with passion and dance with
: joy.
: When I breathe you dance.
: I never want to hold my breath again.
